Solid pack of kids' play hammers. 5 each of the red claw hammers and green 'sledge' style hammers.We've found them to be popular with the kids while they play 'construction' around the house, and even while they're building one of their many blanket forts.Good size set (10 total hammers) could be excellent for schools, after-school groups, etc.

I purchased this set of hammers for an activity and as party favors for my son’s upcoming construction themed 3rd birthday party. His little guests will range in age from 2 years- 4.5 years old. Little builders will get to hammer golf tees into boxes and pool noodles, and then they will each take a hammer with a little packet of golf tees to continue the fun at home. When I purchased these, there were no reviews, so I took a gamble. I was concerned that I would need to return these due to quality, inaccurate description, etc., and wanted to give myself plenty of time to make repairs or said return. This was purchased completely on my own, and I am not receiving any compensation for this review, so purchasing without any reviews first made me nervous. However, I am extremely pleased to say that no return or repairs will be necessary, and that my gamble truly paid off. All the little hammers arrived not only completely intact, but very firmly attached to the handles. The handles themselves are real wood, and the heads are a very solid plastic. The size, as you can see in my photo, is quite decent. The hammers are small, but perfect for little toddler/preschool sized hands. They might be too small for kids older than 6, but as none of our guests are that age, the size is perfect for our purposes. Not to mention that the hammers are really very cute as well! I had originally hoped to buy a set of all red hammers for their more realistic appearance, but the birthday boy actually prefers the green one, and so I imagine that some of his guests will as well. This would be a great set of hammers for a family hosting a construction themed party, or for a daycare or preschool teacher wanting little hammers for similar activities. I plan to update my review after my sons birthday next month after their durability has truly been put to the test. But as of now, I am very pleased with this set of hammers.
