A GFCI Outlet is designed to protect people from shocks from an electrical system.
If there is a ground fault or if there is anything wrong with the outlet, a GFCI will trip and stop the flow of electricity to prevent injuries.

I bought these assuming each outlet had to be gfi. Turns out only 1 in the circuit. Consult an electrician and have him install. It sucked on cost but this needs done right

Great Gfci but when tripped the green light is still on, you would think by now that would be takin care of.

My one complaint is once in operation, a green light appears whether it is tripped or not. It works fine, and trips with a GFCI tester. Aside from the tripping sound, you can't tell if it tripped, its still a green light but with no line side power. I will order again.
