Flap discs in general are one of those consumables that seem to be consumed pretty fast. After all, they're sort of glorified sandpaper, and what most of us use them for (metalwork) isn't easy on them. These ceramic flap discs are advertised as lasting longer. Is that the case? I think it's really hard to say since I'm not using them vs others on identical applications with enough usage to give a true comparison. But I would say that they're no worse, and the price, at just $1.60 per disc sure beats the cost of buying them in the big orange box store.Compared to the Norton brand flap discs I have, these aren't quite as thick, but they're a good bit thicker than the Harbor Freight Warrior brand flap discs that cost a good chunk more than these, so based on that alone, I'd say that these are a very solid value. I've included a photo showing the differences between these three. This disc is on the left, the Norton in the middle and the Harbor Freight on the right.

The ceramic version of these flap discs last quite a bit longer than the standard aluminum oxide versions. They are awesome for cleaning rusty metal, welding prep, and grinding after welding.

I'm always building something in my metal shop, so having a good set of flap discs is a must. These flap discs work extremely well. I have used them to remove rust and to grind and smooth out weld seams. They seem to last a long time, unlike some cheap ones I've purchased in the past. I absolutely love them.

These ceramic flap discs fit my 4.5 inch angle grinder perfectly and run smooth with no vibration. They really chew through material fast, making them great for grinding down rough surfaces or removing rust. The 60 grit is aggressive but still leaves a decent finish. If you need something that will take off serious material quickly, these are a solid choice.

This 10pack of flap-disc made with aluminum oxide grains is perfect for sharpening my mower blades without overheating the metal. 120 grit is the recommended grit for sharpening because it keeps the temperatures below the level that reduces the hardness of the metal and makes it lose its sharp edge too quickly. This 10pack with last me several seasons - I keep at least 6 sets of blades for my zero-turn mower, so I don't have to sharpen but one time each year. Works perfectly with my 90-degree grinder. These are my favorite flap-disc sharpeners.

These Ceramic Flap Discs cut well, last as well as others that I have used. No complaints. I would purchase again.

I like to get flap discs in bulk packs like this, they eventually wear down, and it’s nice to have some spares and avoid a last-minute trip to the hardware store. The quality of these discs seems to be as good or better than others I have used, and my test disc is holding up well. I used it with my mower blade sharpening jig to sharpen a couple of mower blades, and removed the rust from some yard tools, and it hardly shows any wear. The ceramic abrasive does appear to last longer. If you need some flap discs, these ceramic ones are a good choice.
