I bought these for a fun dinner night, they were a hit with the unusual spoons. One of the bowls arrived broken but I don’t need that many so I’m still very happy with them.

Love these little rice bowls, they are really nice! I use them almost every day, and although they seem a bit delicate, I haven’t broken or chipped a one! The little spoons put this set over the top for me! The price was great too — very happy with this purchase!

As stated, these are handsomely crafted fine porcelain pieces. I couldn't understand how they could be made available at such a low price-- $20 for 10 bowls and 10 spoons. They arrived and looked as beautiful as the pictures. I did notice one bowl had a small paint smear on the rim (see photo) and upon inspection, I noticed a few more tiny imperfections inside and outside. Sure enough, by scrutinizing each piece I found that they all have barely noticeable flaws-- and only that one had a flaw big enough to really catch the eye. I doubt any of my guests will even catch that one.I took a picture of three spoons to show the worst flaws on them. The left spoon as you face the photo has tiny black dots in 4 of the rice indentations. The middle one's rice pattern is fairly off center. The right one has a few rice indentations that are not complete.I couldn't be happier. These are clearly such fine pieces that even the smallest flaws are rejected, and instead of being thrown away are being sold for a great price on Amazon. Unless you're stocking a mansion or the White House, I recommend these.

The bowls are beautiful. I love the "rice grain" indentations. They are a little bigger than my current bowls, but that's a plus.Unlike other purchasers who had problems with breakage during shipping, everything arrived intact. My only issue is with the type of Styrofoam used. It crumbles very easily and leaves little spheres of foam everywhere. The little buggers stick to everything - the bowls, your hands, countertops - like glue due to static electricity. The foam bits don't seem to be the biodegradable kind, so I hesitate to rinse them off in the sink. Also, our cats tried to eat the foam bits. Not a good situation. Minus one star for that.

These bowls are beautiful and fun. Just today we used them for our fried rice lunch. The size is perfect to keep meal portions just right for our family. For rice alone as a side dish, the bowls are a bit large. The delicate porcelain makes meals special. Instead of using our dishwasher, we choose to wash the bowls and spoons by hand which takes only a couple of minutes. Bowls never seem to fit very well in our dishwasher anyway. These bowls are also fun to use for desserts and ice cream sundaes or even cereal. We had ZERO broken or chipped pieces. All arrived in perfect condition with our order.

Perfect! These are great bowls for rice or soup. These are nice for pho soup because they are deep enough for noodles, herbs and bean spouts. The bowls are smaller in circumference than typical English/American soup bowls, but actually hold the same amount (1 cup). They are a good size (not too big) when you're serving several foods in smaller portions such as soup, spring rolls, sushi,etc. - they don't take up too much room on the table.The smaller/deeper size is also easier for children to handle without spills. The kids liked seeing the rice pattern show thru when they were finished eating - great incentive to finish eating. :DShipped fast, was well packed and nothing was broken. This is my second order from this supplier, both were good.

Pretty set with interior design. The bowls are a little larger than the older rice bowls I'd picked up at thrift shops. I like the porcelain spoons a lot more than I thought I would. I'm on a special diet, so these small bowls are perfect for my smaller portions.Based on the other reviews, I was afraid some would arrive broken, but mine were perfectly whole. They put foam spacers between the bowls, and the spoons, and then encased them in a thick, hard-foam shell, inside an Amazon box with airbag spacers. There was a worrisome dent in the outer box, but the interior packaging kept them safe.
