I made this handled jar, but the holes came out a little small, so I needed to ream them out a bit. The file set was perfect for this, and just what I needed. So pleased.

As an aircraft mechanic our job can be demanding and we need the right tool for the job. Specifically filing out damage to propellers/turbine blades etc this is a blessing. It has a nice radius that makes removing damage quick and pain free with the comfort that my repair will stand up to time.

l'ensemble est satisfaisant . Cependant Il faut noter que ces limes sont de taille très douce (unes ou deux sont mal taillées ) il faut donc prévoir un autre usinage avant de les utiliser en finition . Il eut été bon de préciser le type taille de ces limes. Prévoir également une brosse de nettoyage

My file set appear to be quite poor quality. They are bent and several twist rather than being complete straight. The grinding procedure to produce the 'file' is not even and does not go all the way down. They do appear to do the job if you're not looking for accuracy or precision.Having said that they do still work, if doing it again i would spend a bit more money and look for better quality.

These are okay for the price. I used two of the files and my general impression is they work okay - not great, but for the price it was decent. Too early too tell, but I don't think these will last very long with repeated use. Also, when shipped one of the files must have fallen out of the package and out of the box, because one was missing. If it had been a high cost set, I would have returned but just accepted instead of wasting time.

I bought these files for cleaning up the edges from models coming off my 3D printer. I have found them to be a pretty good fit for this purpose, for both PLA and ABS parts. The fact that some of the files are rounded on one or more sides and others are flat works out well for my purposes. The only thing that would be better is if a couple of the files in this set were replaced with coarser grit, because sometimes it can take a while to file down a rough edge with this fine of a surface, although for finish work they are pretty good.

I bought this file set to use on building plastic model kits. Its performance far outweighed my expectations using it for more than my intentions (filing off the sprue remnants on the parts). I've used it to shape puttied joints and even cut parts with it. It files plastics, metals and even stone! While using them, you don't need to use too much pressure and can be used lightly. I've cleaned with water and acetone and they've held up beautifully!I was skeptical because of its low price but they work like a million dollars! This is an excellent buy!

I bought these to file, bevel and smooth some holes I had drilled in an aluminum bike part.*The coating on the handles is nice. It doesn't just pull off but is easy to grip.*They're rough enough to remove some material in a quick enough fashion that you can tell it's working.*They aren't so rough that it takes a long time to polish the filed area after*They're a good size for dealing with areas between 1/4" - 1" in size*Lifespan... I'm not too sure how long they will last, but after about an hour of consistent use with the same rasp it seemed to still have a good amount of bite to it, so that's hopeful.For the price, this is hard to beat. Great for wood or soft metal detail work.

A very nice set of small files, I am able to use them on a variety of surfaces (glass, silver, brass) and they seem to hold up very well.For my purposes, the grit on these files is perfect. I believe a more aggressive grit would chip/break the material whereas less would make them more desirable for polishing than filing.Since this set is well made and offered at a reasonable price, I'd like to see additional options for them. I would for example buy another set of these files with longer handles. Also, if a larger set with multiple grits was available, I would probably give that a try given the success with this small set.Since the currently offered set is "Amazon Prime" eligible, I will probably end up buying another to get an addtional copy of the round files, these seem to be getting the most usage.
