I purchased this pack of Butterfly Clutches for my pin making, and I'm extremely satisfied with the quality and value. The clutches are sturdy and hold my pins securely in place, which is a must for someone who wears pins. The metal construction feels durable, and they are easy to attach and remove when needed. I also use them for DIY crafts and custom badge-making, and they work perfectly. This pack is a great deal for anyone who needs reliable pin backs for their accessories or craft projects. Highly recommend!

These are nice clutches, but not "ideal" for Disney pins. The following is based on measurements taken using the Haunted Mansion "Bat" pin. Because the Disney "Mouse Ears" clutch is common across pins, these measurements "should" be close to common for other Disney pins. The actual pin portion of the Disney pin rises 8mm above the flat back of the artwork portion. These clutches cover only about 5mm of the pin, leaving a 3mm gap. They do clutch the pin fine. Disney pins with only a single actual pin can have small spikes intended to grab clothing and stop the pin from rotating while being worn. On the "Bat" pin those spikes are about 1.75mm tall. This leaves a 1.25mm gap between the spikes and these clutches. So while the clutch will properly clutch the Disney pins, the gap means the Disney pin can spin. This seems like it wouldn't be an issue for larger Disney pins which have two actual pins. Two solutions come to mind. First would be the right type of rubber "washer" (or just rubber which can be cut and the pin stuck thru) about 2mm thick to fill the gap and imitate the rubber face of the Disney "Mouse Ears" clutch -- forcing the spikes to dig into the clothing a little. Second would be to find a clutch which grabs the full 8mm of the pin, but I'm not seeing clutches on Amazon which really document how much of the pin they'll grab. Note that when the clutch comes with its own mating pin, the length of the mating pin will be documented. In the case of these clutches, the mating pin is 8mm long and the clutch leaves about a 3mm gap just like with the Disney "Bat" pin.

I made a large batch of buttons for a festival I volunteer at. This is my second order of these pins:The pins themselves are fantastic! I prefer this style because of the locking clasps. My biggest regret is not counting the pieces when I received my orders. The first order I bought was short 18 clasps!! The second order I bought was short 4 clasps. The pin backs, themselves, were the right amount.I highly recommend anyone who buys this product double check that they received all that they paid for before working with it so that they can address the issue. Being short 1 or 2 out of 100 I can maybe understand but 18?! That’s an insane difference.
