Awesome deal on these. I use them for all kinds of things, chip clips, pinning notes to the wall, organizing 3x5 card notes, hanging bags of plant seeds on a wire to dry.

Truly a good deal. They're small, and individually they're not very strong, but there's 100 of them so if you need more clamping force you can just add more of them. Great for assembling/gluing complex projects with many pieces, It's like having 100 extra pairs of hands.

The PVC coated tips and handles feel like black rubber. It's a matte finish rather than the shiney PVC many such clamps have. The coating is well attached and grips well without leaving residue. The clamp is strong, but not so much that I can't open it one-handed. The 3-inch opening allows them to be used on a lot of locations. The pivot point is straight with no wobble. Everything seems well made.

The spring on these mini-clamps is very weak. I bought them to replace home depot mini-clamps that I use in the kitchen for closing bread bags, flour bags, plastic manufactures bags, etc. that come with whatever staples. After 7 years of using them they finally started to migrate to my kids homes... leaving me with fewer and fewer. So I bought these. They are soooo much weaker than the other mini-clamp that I just gonna pitch them and try to find them elsewhere. You really can't judge until you handle them. And in my judgement after handling them; I think they are too weak to even hole fly wings together.:)

Think of these as "metal cloths pins"---because ordinary clothspins are actually a little more versatile, cheaper, better quality, and effectively clamp materials in the same range of thickness.COMPARED TO CLOTHSPINS> Clothspins have a flat 3/8" x 3/8" surface, and do a good job of clamping soft flat materials, such as paper, fabrics, etc---such for gluing---up to about 1/8" thick total.--These metal clamps have no flat surface, and so are not effective in clamping soft materials--Wide-mouth plastic clamps such as have hinged pads and (depending on the size of the clamp) can clamp any thickness> Clothspins open to about 3/8"--These metal clamps open to about 1/2", but are not really effective for most items more than 3/8"> Clothspins can clamp to a rod or cord up to about 3/8" and can be forced to about 1/2"--These metal clamps really don't clamp to a rod or cord well.QUALITYThese are about the thinnest metal, thinnest plastic grip covering, and overall cheapest construction possible. In short, NOT impressive. But are a good deal for the price, and are probably more than adequate for many light applications.MY EXPECTATIONS/EXPERIENCEI was looking for clamps to clamp plant screen fabric to 1/2" poles out-of-doors. Clothspins can be forced to do so. 2" "Wide-mouth plastic clamps" work great, but the springs are thin wire which rust quickly and fail. These metal clamps are parallel at their maximum 1/2" openning, and do not hold well to 1/2" poles---so they didn't work for me. If the maximum opening had been 5/8" or 3/4" they probably would have worked well for me.RECOMMENDATION> Consider "wide-mouth plastic clamps" such as , for most uses, they work much better.> appear to be a heavier-duty version of these 2" metal spring clips.> look like they would be better for sewing and some other uses.> Click on “Stoney” just below the product title to see my other reviews, or leave a comment to ask a question.

These clips are cool. They are strong but not crushing. This makes them great for fixing my kids toys when I have to glue broken pieces back together. The pressure is evenly distributed which makes the clips work well on holding smaller items together. It is also nice that the red tips are actually coated in plastic. This eliminates scrapes on clipped objects. The traditional black metal clamps I formerly used always scraped up objects I used them to clip.I also use the clips to help organize my mail and other office items. They are sturdy and really get the job done. I highly recommend them.
