I actually have a large yard that is covered MOSTLY in garden, front- and back-, and we have more sunlight than gardens need where I'm at, so I definitely need these. But, I don't think I'll ever need to buy these again :D considering these are one massive bulk purchase. Usage is just what you think it is; once you've cut your shade cloth to the size you want, snap these on its edges just by closing them around it every so often. What else is there?

These clips are a little difficult to get snapped together. Getting the two sides aligned is a little tough and they take a decent amount of pressure to connect. But once together they hold really well.

These shade cloth plastic clips arrived in a box with other items I had ordered. The bag in which they were delivered was unsealed and not secured closed. I ordered 100 pieces of the plastic clips and I received 102. Because this bag was just open inside the box, I am surprised I received more than what I had ordered, but also have concern that these might be difficult to manage in a warehouse and someone might be short two clips. The quality is excellent. These are definitely secure when you clasp them together. Keep in mind that they’re not very easy to get apart. So when you install these wrapped around whatever cord or rope that you have when it’s time to take this tarp down, you will have difficulty undoing the clips. It wasn’t impossible. I actually used one blade of my scissors and was able to pry it apart. Probably a better solution would be a flat head screwdriver. But make sure that you are putting these in place where you want them because Standing on a ladder, dealing with Shade tarps and ropes/chords, and these plastic clips is going to be a project in itself. It would be nice if there was some sort of tool that was included with these to use to pry them apart. But for the excellent cost of $19.99 you get 100 pieces that you are able to clip up and make your shade tarps look amazing and not droopy. These are for the mesh tarps not the fabric heavy weave tarps. So the your tarps need to have an open weave so these clip teeth have something to grab.

This is my first experience with clip on grommets like these. The samples arrived in good condition. I have been using metal ring grommets with good sucess but like most will eventually tear and come off after UV exposure, wind and rain. These are much larger in size and have 14 teeth to bite into the shade cloth, plastic or tarp material and spread the load out over a larger area. Because of this they are much stronger than your average grommet. They are pretty much permanent after installation but can be removed with a lot of prying with a flat slender object. I was able to remove one but it did damage a few of the locking prongs in the process. Surprisingly it was however still re-usable. I really like these as they are very good at the intended task. I would recommend them to friends and family. 5 stars.

These heavy duty plastic clips are a great invention. We used them to hang shade cloth over our newly planted seedlings. Each clip has teeth and holes on both sides and you simply click them together through the shade cloth. The loop at the edge of the clip can then be threaded and tensioned with wire or rope to hold the shade cloth in place. We had an old greenhouse/ hoop house frame and used ball bungee cords to attach the clips to the frame. The flexible bungee cords help the shade cloth sway in the wind without ripping. The clips hold very tightly and not one has come undone in the wind. To remove the clips (when hubby puts them in the wrong position) I simply used a wide flat head screwdriver and they pop apart easily. They also work on bird netting so maybe we will have strawberries this season. They come in a bag of 100 clips so I will have plenty for all my summer gardening projects.

These clips are a great, inexpensive way to put giant grommets on your shade cloth so you can string it up however you want. I sure could have used them when I bought several yards of shade cloth for my plants and it arrived without any way to string it up. Even if there are holes, sometimes there aren't enough of them. I'm using them now with a long shade cloth that only has a hole in each corner. It needed more support in the middle and these are perfect. You sure get plenty of clips in this package! They are really thick and strong and hold amazingly well... and very easy to put into the cloth. Not so easy to undo, but they can be pried apart with effort. I'm really impressed with them.

I used these in my garden to secure insect netting to our raised beds. The pieces click together easily and feel sturdy once clicked. However, it is important to know the diameter of your rope or pipe! The maximum compatible diameter is only 1 cm. So if you have rope, cable, or another fitting that is more than 1 cm thick, it won't fit. Unfortunately, my piping is slightly larger so I used two sandwiched together to make it work (see my photo). I was still able to use them, but I wish I knew the max diameter before buying.

I just got a new heavy duty shade cloth for the awning on my van but this one only came with D-rings in the four corners. I needed one side of it to be able to connect all the way down the length of the van so I figured I'd try these. THEY WORKED PERFECTLY! A pack of 100 was a bit overkill but I won't have to worry about it the next few times I replace the shade cloth:)
