The controller fails open. This could be serious issue if used to control a heating element. Failed on third use.

I use it to regulate a 120V 1500W heat gun for a DIY coffee roaster. The large heat sink hardly heats up at all for that. I measured the voltage out under that load and it only knocks about 5V off the input voltage at the top. The adjusted voltage curve is pretty linear below about 80%. I would buy it again.
