I'm not using this for a typical lab, but have become quite into learning perfumery. I often need to dose out a consistent and larger amount of materials, like ethanol, when making my dilutions, and this is much more repeatable than pouring and then adding in drop at a time to hit a defined weight. This one is also big enough to very quickly dose out exactly the right amount of finished blends into sample bottles! The button press does require a fairly heavy hand, but that's expected since it's moving quite a lot of liquid.

I tested it using the alcohol. It is easy to change the measurement and it feels very solid. However, as I anticipated to use this lab grade adjustable pipette, for my mixology projects, 10ul was just a little too small. I personally should have gotten 1000ul unit.

This pipette tool is being used to measure volumes of liquid to adjust pH in water. This requires small portions of concentrated buffering solutions to be added to water. In the past it was measured with a graduated cylinder or syringe, but these both have their drawbacks. This pipette accurately measures and dispensers the small volumes required. The construction of this device seams every good and it is easy to operate with one hand.

I ordered this lab micropipette to measure precise amounts for a water experiment that I am conducting. It looks exactly like the photos and is as expected. It is great quality and it makes it easy to do precise and consistent amounts for my experiment. The volume is easy to adjust and seems very accurate. It is easy and straightforward to use. I haven't found found any defects or experienced any issues with it so far, but if I do, I'll update my review.

This micropipette worked exactly like the ones in my lab class. It has a sturdy feel and looks well made.Turning the knob on the plastic stem clicks the counter and presumably changes the pipetted amounts. My most recent project didn’t require exact amounts–it was fine as long as the amount was within range and was the same every time– so I had nothing to test the accuracy against. I left it at one setting (500 μl) for consistency, and it delivered the same amount each time. I ordered an adjustable pipette so I'll have the flexibility to do different projects in the future. It’s been a while since my “Intro to Genetics” class, but watching a few youtube videos on pipetting technique quickly brought it all back again. The University of Leicester has an older video titled “Using a Micropipette” that covers the basics and has “dos and don’ts”. Eppendorf’s video on “How to pipette correctly” was also helpful.Remember to always keep the micropipette vertical when a tip is on! I don’t have a large pipette stand, so I had to remember to never set it down on its side when in use (there was a small plastic holder included, but I didn’t have anywhere convenient to mount it). I also caught myself absently holding the micropipette sideways several times while moving racks, etc.The hard plastic might be uncomfortable if one were to use it all day long– for those situations it might be better to invest in a more expensive micropipette with a molded handgrip. For my situation this was perfect though, and left money in the budget for other supplies. This seems a solid choice of a basic adjustable micropipette for occasional use. I’d order it again.
