On the one hand, I got what I ordered, 100 or so photoresistors. On the other hand, the plastic box was shattered and they were scattered all over the bottom of the shipping envelope. Nothing labled properly, many bent, some smashed, pretty wide tolerances compared to what's claimed on the box. Not a great experience, I should have just paid the extra $5-10 for a nicer set of these.

The one in the kit I'm using is the GL5549. Its Dark state has a OL resistance reading on my multimeter and I'm using a LED on a board to trigger it. the initial resistance when the LED comes on is 1Kohm and then increases to 17.5k. I have it running for an hour now and it slowly climbed to 28.88Kohm and will fluctuate a couple of 100ohms. What I will do because I'm going to use this for a voltage divider is put a Zener Diode to protect my 5volt inputs. I'm using this to automate a 3 phase motor

Added a light-sensing capability to my motion-activated batter-powered light. Now it only turns on when it's needed - in the dark and saves the battery life greatly! Having many values to choose from allowed me to fine tune it for level of darkness I'd like it to turn on. Good stuff.
