These water balls are essentially oversized pompoms, and I have nothing negative to say about that. What a brilliant way to make reusable water balls! Since it's cold, I haven't tested them out with the kids yet, but I did decide to wet one during my shower and let it drop onto my face to test it out. It felt like a wet sponge falling on my cheek. What a perfect activity for a hot day that I can't wait to do.

I received 101 balls when I counted them. I like that they come in different colors. The mesh bag is important too so if they are still damp, they can dry in the bag. I almost didn't notice the mesh bag because it was at the very bottom of the cardboard box full of balls.From a gift giving perspective, this isn't so great. The packaging is awful. If you give this to a child, they will have no idea what they are for unless you tell them. Basically, it comes in an unmarked cardboard box full of fluffy balls with a mesh bag. If you gift this, I recommend putting all the balls into the mesh bag and including a note. It just presents as cheap.Essentially, these are big fuzzy pom poms. They do absorb water, but they will not splash and explode like real water balloons. There are other versions of this concept that you actually fill up and when you throw them they explode. Those other versions are made of plastic with magnets that keep it closed. That version is a higher quality concept for sure.That being said, you get a lot of balls for not much money. Kids will still have fun chucking soaking water wads of material at each other especially if the children wear regular clothes.I recommend this outside where there isn't a lot of sand. This is not a good beach toy. Ultimately, the fuzzy nature of these pretty well guarantees they will get gross over time.I would recommend this for smaller children under 10 years of age.NOTE - You may have seen the line above my review that says, ''Amazon Vine Customer Review of Free Product.'' So you may be thinking, ''Who cares what this person says because of course they will say nice things because they got something for free?!?'' I know because I used to feel the same way when I read reviews!Well, you may not have realized this, but vine reviewers are subject to having to pay taxes on these items. These balls are a lot of fun and exactly as advertised. My son likes to play with them. He has some sensory issues and always feels like ne needs to be tossing something. These are soft enough that they don't do any damage around the house. When they get wet they hold in the water well and make a fun replacement for water balloons. MUCH easier to clean up. The only downside is that they take a while to dry out before you can store them away again. These are worth the price and I recommend them!

They're very soft and absorbent so work really well for water ball wars. The colors are vivid and great for identifying whose team got you when you get hit with one so that your team-mate can take revenge on that team.The only issue using them at the beach is that they will grab and hold the sand so it's best for the kids to know that when a ball goes on the sand it's a point against that team. The sand can be cleaned out of the ball with patience, but if it does go into the sand it should be cleaned before being put back into play so that it doesn't get sand in the kids eyes or hurt them in any other way.It's also very important for the adults to teach the children to pick up after themselves so that none of these balls are left in the water or on the beach.
