Great effects and a fraction of the cost of higher priced DJ lights. Best used with light controller. Highly pleased with product.

Too complicated and noisy for the price. Found one that does a great job for a third of the price.

You'll need a DMX controller to get use of this. I was hoping for a demo mode or some set and forget patterns but if they exist they aren't documented. Which is another issue: there's pretty much zero in the way of a user manual. You don't even have enough of a user manual to tell you to use DMX. That's a serious shortcoming.I have a stage PA and some lighting that I keep at home and test speakers and lights at home, but not a DMX controller. So I had to go hunt one down and bring it back. Having a controller and a laptop showed off the capabilities of the light. The flip sides, one being a solid white beam, and the other being colored spots makes it a multi-tool in your lighting stage presence, especially on a stage with minimal other lighting. It runs a little hot, even being LEDs, so it has fans and fan noise. Nothing at all like old halogen and incandescent beams used to have.I come from a time when lights like these were very expensive. In the past this would have been 3x the cost. For the advertised cost at the time of writing it's a good deal considering competition.

This is a neat compact moving head fixture that will add some dramatic effects to your mobile lighting rig. The unit is compact but substantial feeling, with a heavy base and included bracket. On the moving head, the spot side is a tight RGBW beam (no color mixing on this one) and the wash side has 4 powerful LEDs that easily light up a room. These ones can be color mixed. A DMX controller is essential with this fixture, as there is no remote included, and only a handful of auto and sound-active programs to choose from that all seem to be about the same. With a controller, however, you can unlock precise speed, positioning, and colors that will look a lot more professional during use. The head moves quickly, and can pivot nonstop which is pretty neat, so you can get some cool spinning style effects.Fan noise is noticable, as both the motorized base and the moving head have small fans. Nothing that would be heard at an event where music is playing, but in quiet situations you should be aware of both the fans and the motor noise.I do wish the focused beam was a little more refined. By this, I mean that when you look at the beam on the wall, instead of a tight circle, you can instead see a rectangular chip shape with the RGBW visible on the four corners. This won't matter when in motion or looking at the beam through fog, but seems like it could be easily rectified with a focus adjustment if one was available.I also wish there was more of a diversity of on-board programs that could be accessed through the menu for situations where you choose not to tie into DMX. Everything looks like it's tailored to a rave with strobing and fast moving erratic movements on both beams. It would be great if there were some programs that used just the wash side, some that were more ambient in nature with slow fades and movement, etc. These are small critiques though on what is overall a great lighting rig however. I plan to pick up another to have matching units and use with Soundswitch for granular control.
