I bought this to prevent the hop while driving in deep snow. It protects your bell housing from potentially cracking and leaking. Worth the money in preventative maintenance if you ask me. I spoke to a couple of other Duramax owners at my work and they purchased the same part.

Merchant Automotive with another great product. Cheaper for me to buy then fabricate my own. Only thing I didn't like, orange powder coat. I took the part to my personal powder coat shop. the part is now pac car black powdercoat.
