My son and I replaced his iPad screen. This kit came with Everything EXCEPT no adhesive/tape to secure the new screen. The directions are also fairly limited so I’ll try and break down what we did.First we pried/broke the glass a lot on one side (the left side has no plugs/wires on it so that’s where you should lift from)We then heated up the edges with a heat gun (or blow dryer). His screen was broken pretty bad, so we used packaging tape on the screen to allow the suction cup to pull the screen off.Go around the edges and scrape all of the remaining adhesive/broken glass off.Unscrew the brackets holding in the wires(2 wires, 2 brackets, a total of 3 screws)Make sure to remove the small plastic camera lens brace from the old screen (we had to keep heating it up and finally pried it off). Remember which way you have to glue it onto the new one, or take a picture of it.Go around the whole edge with the tape/adhesive roll.Plug the wires from the new screen in (make sure to center it and push down until you hear a snap) screw the brackets back in over top.Insert the new screen, pay special attention to the camera lens and make sure little plastic brace is lined up and sits flush.Once the new screen is in, depending on the adhesive, you may have to heat the edges up with a heat gun and press the screen down a little.Now remove that screen protector and it’s done.Hopefully this helps somebody!!!!
