I use these little nipples in my drip irrigation system. They do a good job connecting the female connections. Be aware that they are NPT threads. I recommend them highly

I grabbed a set of these for use in an oil catch-can, which made the teflon tape included with it a nice added benefit. Machining on the nut surfaces are clean and not sharp along the edges, well chamfered there. I have 3 spares now since I only needed two, but I'm sure I'll find a use for the rest.
