This is my first Forstner Drill bit set. I've always just got by with spade bits, but man are they sloppy. These bits cut a nice precise sharp hole. Having a nice variety of sizes is convenient and the included extensions are nice to have. Now having these, I see I was foolish for waiting so long to get a set of these.

These bits are tough, and exactly what I needed for some oak projects. Sharp out of the box, and the outside cutter is angled appropriately to avoid tear out. The extensions and stopper are ok, but the cutters are the important part and I’m worried that the extensions will add error.So far no issues, they work fine.

I have recently picked up a couple Forstner bits for the tool box/shop. I have not really used them much before, but love how clean they make through holes, and that they are able to drill partway through materials and leave a clean bottom hole.This is a great kit to have with a range of sizes, a couple different length extensions, and a stop collar for depth stop.The bits come in a nice case where each part has it’s own cutout in a foam liner. These bits are a welcome addition to the bit collection. Easy to use, versatile deep hole drilling or extended reach with the extensions, and all for an inexpensive list price. I can’t speak for longevity yet. So, I will see once I have some milage under these bits as to how long they stay sharp. With carbide tips I should hope they last a long while.

Wow.... these cut like butter. I can't belive the low cost which is great because money is tight in most everyone I know and nyself so thanks for providing a quality product for a low cost! You deserve 10 stars 🌟

I was a bit skeptical about these bits given the price point for a 10 bit set (15 pieces including the extensions and accessories), but I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by the cut quality they produced in veneered plywood. Although the set includes a storage case with dense foam insert, I was disappointed that they arrived with the bits jumbled and banging around loose inside the case (see photo). I did not see any obvious damage from the bits banging into each other, but I have not thoroughly inspected each bit. This made me suspicious of quality control, I doubt that these bits would have broken loose from the in shipping had they been properly inserted in the case, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well these bits cut in my test piece. The included extensions are an interesting idea but are unlikely to get much use (at least in my shop). Overall, other than the initial packaging concern, I am pleased with these bits and happy to have this assortment of metric sized Forstner bits in my toolbox.

i do not place a lot of faith in a $30 set of 10 forstner bits. i chuck up the middle sized one up and decided to try it out on some aged oak pallet wood. this bit flew through it and left a clean hole. it has to be a fluke, grabbed the largest bit and the same thing. like it was pine. i have not tried out all the accessories, but they all seem well built and able to handle the work. i love the added shank to be able to drill deep holes. occasionally i find myself drilling deep. the case is great and holds the bits securely without causes bit damage. the top is clear so you can make sure all items are accounted for without opening. great set to add to the workshop. i do not think you will be disappointed.

I would recommend these if you needed to bore deep holes. The extension works great for my deeper holes with no problem. I like that you actually "screw" the bit into the extension. Very nice feature. Very nice set. Highly recommended.
