I used them to hold my pool cover down. They have been installed for nearly two months now. In that time one has slipped. I have not had to re tighten. I wish I had found these earlier.

I picked up a set for a camping deck I built. They work as described, just mind your measurements before you buy. If your deck boards are thicker than the center of the stake, its not going to work so make sure you check out that info. That aside, they seem to be holding up after a few months of use. They are great for lashing things down to your deck in bad storms.

These are a set of small deck anchors that do not require drilling. These slide through the gap between boards, you twist 90 degrees, and then the spring helps to hold it in that position. The spring will press against the top of the boards, and the bottom hooks will grab the underside. Most pressure, potential damage, will be on the underside then. The springs, however, can damage the surface especially is something is flapping around. This is less damage than a hole, but not a perfect solution. They are sturdy enough for most things assuming you're boards aren't rotting or inadequately screwed down.

I used these to keep the Christmas trees on my deck from blowing over. One did blow over on a very windy night but it was due to some zip ties breaking. The anchor pegs held tight!

When I say I could have invented these I mean I have "created" or designed and made a number of anchors to be used around and on a deck. As a long time pool owner I was always looking for a better way to attached ropes and Bungees. One day I choose to search for deck anchors, kept refining my search until this type of device appeared and then the choices started to appear. Elegant, elegant, elegant my days of forming aluminum wire into hooks and anchors are over.
