The AOKLIT 5 Pcs Dry Diamond Drill Bits Set is a perfect addition for do it yourself enthusiasts. Great selection of sizes for drilling holes in the likes of glass or ceramics and works well for all those jobs around the house where regular drill bits won’t work. I particularly like the cooling wax lubricant built into the drill bits so that you don’t have to cool them with water while drilling. Good value for the set.

I used these to drill holes in 3/4" thick quartz slabs. Surprisingly, they worked great. One bit for all five holes.

I just drilled 60 holes in mid-grade Chinese slate tiles. These are not the super cheap "hard mud" tiles, but they are softer than porcelain. We are screwing them on the wall with thinset behind them for exterior trim. Started out by hand and then switched to a drill press. I figured I'd go through a couple packages of these for this job. Wrong. 2 bits did the whole thing.The reviewers who burned up their bits are obviously new at this. This is way different from drilling through wood. You have to be patient. Go slow. This took HOURS. Tile is harder than wood - DUH. We used a squirt bottle to keep water on the bit and I kept picking it up to pump water in the hole. I could probably have done the whole thing with one bit, but after 4 holes each in 12 tiles I figured I might as well load a new bit. Use MODERATE pressure - you can't muscle these things through rock - DUH. THIS PROCESS GENERATES LOTS OF HEAT. Of COURSE they will burn up if you try to do this like you are drilling wood. Water, time and patience. If you have ADD, don't even try it. Now I have a zillion of these bits I probably won't use because these went way further than I expected. Super deal.

The bits are well made and work well.

I bought a 10-pack of these drill bits. The diamond tip on EVERY ONE of the ten bits wore out and was rendered useless within the first 20-30 seconds of use when I tried to drill holes for mounting grab bars in marble tile. The diamond granules themselves might be very hard, but the adhesive bond holding them to the metal bits is VERY weak and undurable. VERY disappointed with this inferior quality product.

The 10 pack of dry diamond drill bits is perfect for drilling holes in ceramic tiles, glass, granite, marble, While the manufacturer has made them with a wax that is mixed in with the diamond grit which is designed to melt and keep the drill bit lubricated, I always recommend utilizing water as well as drilling with these types of bits and materials creates a lot of heat and I do not personally see the wax lasting that long to protect your bits. I was able to easily drill through my tiles in my shower in order to install a safety bar in place and had no issues at all. For water, I recommend using a plastic ketchup bottle which is perfect for streaming water on your bit as you are drilling. i highly recommend these bits.

I got these drill bits because I have a handful of damaged mugs and teapots which I don't really want to throw away because they're decorative and still look nice, but the rough/chipped spots make them unsuitable for drinking. Fortunately, with a couple of drainage holes, they make great planters (or not, for some plants - but then these bits aren't relevant).So far I've only needed the 6mm bit, but with a bit of time and effort and my standard power drill it made a nice clean hole in the bottom of a really hard ceramic teapot. Seems to work as advertised.
