I ordered these hoping to pre-tie dropper rigs before hitting the water to spend more time fishing rather than tying. Though it is nice having greater line capacity for deeper waters, these are too large to carry multiple on a typical chest pack.In terms of line spool holder, these will perform as billed. For this purpose, however, I would prefer to have a deeper groove in the spool to accommodate more line. There is a fair amount of "dead space" with the foam center. This said, the larger diameter will suit those looking to store more line that the average foam spool.My misreading the capacity of chest pack spool carrier should be no knock against the product.
