Note that I actually ordered these to use as mulch mats. I have no experience with birds at all and don't plan on gaining any.These bird nest mats are perfect and are exactly as described.They are thick and should last a bit. Durable feeling, especially for my use.At just over 26 bucks for 10, these are reasonably priced. This is also the reason I ordered them, mulch mats are expensive, though these are too, pricing is comparable, but you actually get more of these per order in comparison to some other cases. If memory serves me right, you will get like 4-6 actual mulch mats of the same size in comparison. Something like that... AnywayI am happy as of now, I would recommend these for sure!

I have little bits and pieces of it falling out of the bag. I picked it up and was poked by an end of it that was really sharp..It didn't look sharp but it was. It didn't draw blood but it was uncomfortable. Chicken feet are a lot hardier, but I just don't really want to have to wash this myself. When I do, I'll be sure to wear some thick gloves and keep them outside. I'll also put some bedding over top of it to try to prolong how often I have to wash it. My box is a large rectangle drawer, so it covers the parts that matter where the eggs will fall. It will do the job, but there are softer alternatives out there. It is thick enough to be a padding to protect eggs as they land.
