NOTE

- Perform a Test Run: After installation, perform a test run and check for any leaks or unusual noises to ensure everything is functioning correctly before using the vehicle regularly.
Installation Step
- Gather Tools and Materials: Prepare the necessary tools (such as wrenches, screwdrivers, torque wrench) along with the new filter, oil pan gasket, and transmission fluid.
- Safely Raise the Vehicle: Safely lift the vehicle to ensure adequate space for work, and use jack stands for support.
- Remove the Oil Pan: Carefully remove the screws from the oil pan, take off the oil pan while avoiding damage to the gasket and other components.
- Replace the Filter and Gasket: Remove the old filter and install the new one; clean the oil pan mating surface and place the new oil pan gasket.
- Reinstall the Oil Pan: Reattach the oil pan, evenly tighten the screws to the specified torque, then add new transmission fluid and check for leaks.

Since this will be installed inside my automatic transmission and I won't likely change it again for at least five years my review here is rather superficial. I'm giving it four stars because I see nothing different here from my OEM filter but the included pan gasket isn't one I'd want to use.The included pan gasket is just rubber. Though it feels appropriately thick it's very different from the OEM one. The OEM one is rigid and has index tabs to keep it in place during install. It should last the life of the vehicle so the one included with this filter would be a spare in case you damage the OEM one while dropping the pan or it is leaking. From Ford this gasket is quite expensive, more than $50 all by itself.The filter cartridge looks and feels the same. I can confirm that it has the magnet inside like it should. I have no way to evaluate the filter material but doubt there's much to be gained for the manufacturer by putting in an inferior material. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if all of these filters (at least all aftermarket ones) are made at the same factory and just have different brand names stamped on the box as is true for many oil filters.The plastic housing feels solid, it's all black where the OEM one is half black and half white plastic.Fitment was fine as expected.
