Easy to use, the magnification is very strong and clear. Makes it easy for close inspection of gems and watches, but be advised you must have the item close to the glass and the glass close to your eye.

I have very bad eyes, this helps me see all sorts of small print - I even use it to help me thread needles when hand sewing. High quality, should last forever.

First things first, this is a very small loop. I envisioned the same loop that all the jewelry stores allow customers to use to check out the stones on rings or earrings. This is not that loop, this seems to be a little higher power (closer view) but the diameter of the loop is also smaller, making it much harder to see clearly a larger area. If you look at a penny, you can see most of the year clearly but usually not the entire date (all 4 numbers).It does feel like a quality product, but I think I was probably looking for something double the diameter and probably half the strength. For me this is not what I was wanting, but for you it may be exactly right. This is definitely a quality product, well built and includes a carry case.

Comes in a very snug and tidy box with a velveteen pouch stamped with "Hasting Loupe."I used it look at my first wedding set, specifically the solitaire diamond. That's the first time I ever saw the imperfections in it that caused one jeweler to say it was "the lowest grade" diamond she'd ever seen. That was 30 years ago. Now I finally know what she saw!However, I got this loupe so I could see certain beads better. I think this will help so much with that, because what I'm doing with the beads requires them to be well cut.This will be in my sewing box from now on!

I pride myself on taking very good care of my fine jewelry. I use a small microscope to do checks on wear and tear my jewelry may suffer from being worn and to check to see if I am cleaning jewelry pieces thoroughly. However, there are limitations with my particular microscope, especially with items that have a lot of depth, like multi-stone rings or any items that do not lie flat.Checking jewelry and genstones is so much easier now that I have this loupe. Being able to move the item being inspected while being able to move the loupe makes it so much easier and clearer. And much quicker as well. To be honest, I can see now where I need to do a better cleaning job.This loupe has a triple lens configuration and 10x magnification which is the most recommended and beneficial loupe set up for general jewelry inspection.I will be taking this loupe with me every time I shop for fine jewelry and loose stones. I am sure my jeweler will be impressed that I brought my own (but not surprised)! I recommend this loupe for anyone wishing to get a better, and more convenient, view of his or her jewelry and gemstones. It is well priced and convenient to carry in the included soft bag.

As we age we are finding that the small print on the back of medicine bottles for instance us getting smaller and much harder to read this little gem will most certainly help in being certain of things like doses of medicines and how many hours apart, anything to small to read is no longer that!

It is small, 16mm, so if you have large or fat fingers it may not be comfortable. It hinges nicely and seems sturdy. Box says Made in China but it is engraved New York which seems a bit odd. This loupe is so tiny! I am only newly to the point in life where I need a loupe to see some things. I have had phenomenal near vision all my life, I could see tiny inclusions in diamonds without assistance. Now that I need help with the tiniest items I am not loving this. I feel like I need a magnifier to find the magnifier so that I can see what I am trying to magnify.Still, this is a very nice loupe. It is heavy, sturdy, compact, and stays put when I twist it closed. It fits very nicely over my size small lady fingers. I am not certain that a man would be able to loop this over his finger, so someone with larger fingers would actually have to grasp/pinch this to use it.I am confused as to why this says "Hastings Triplet New York" on the side when it is made in China. It feels duplicitous. Nonetheless, this is a nice quality item, though very small.
