I love glitter globes, and wanted to have a non-Christmas one for summer. I decided on this one because it looked like it would look good with or without the swirling glitter.This really exceeded my expectations, because it looks even more beautiful in person than it does on the page. The colors are sharp, and there's just enough glitter to enable me to see the scene. I've had to return a few glitter globes because I couldn't even see what was inside because there was too much glitter.I can't speak to battery life, because I'll be using the USB exclusively in order to save on batteries. I can say that the timer works great with the USB.I'm very happy with this globe, and hope to enjoy it for many years to come.

Adorable! I have many seasonal snow globes, fall, Christmas and winter but had a hard time finding one that I liked for summer and that I could use a USB plug for. This snow globe is adorable, fits my summer theme and brings a smile to anyone who sees it. I have it set to go on in the early evening and it shuts it self off 6 hours later. I definitely recommend this for yourself or as a gift.

I love this faux fish ( sea horse) item . I keep it in my office and look at it during the day on my desk. It is very soothing with the light and bubbly water and creates a lovely ambiance when I look at it . I was very pleased and remain glad I bought it. It is weighty and appears well made and consistently works throughout the day and I turn it off once I head home. It uses 3 AA batteries( or can be plugged in via a cord- like for a computer- I use batteries. Totally recommend it!
