The brakes look and work as advertised. You do have to drill one of the holes slightly larger to make the parking brake pin fit.

These don't seem to grab quite as well as the OE shoes they replaced, but it's possible I still have a bit of air in the lines. I changed shoes, drums, hardware, and wheel cylinders all at the same time, so it could be any of a few issues. I can still stop just fine, but the brakes don't seem quite as responsive as before.A couple installation hints:1) Hook up all the springs with the shoes laying on the ground at the end of the axle, then pick up the assembly and work the shoes over the ends of the wheel cylinder. This will save you about 30 minutes of fighting with springs. The first side took about an hour, the second side took about 10 minutes.2) Never take apart the second side until the first side is all back together. This way you can see how it *should* look (but keep in mind the sides are a mirror image of each other).3) Don't worry too much about adjusting the shoes before putting it all back together. Make sure the adjusters move freely, and then take it for a couple drives. From everything I can tell, this style adjuster works with the regular brakes while moving forward (unlike the old Bendix style which adjusts when braking in reverse, or some which adjust when the handbrake is used). It took a bit for them to get adjusted properly, but they got there. Start out slow on side streets. :)

Fits my 2003 Honda Civic LX perfectly.Make sure this fits your car by checking Centric's website and inputting your car model as Amazon's "Does it Fit" isn't entirely accurate.These are affordable and are cheaper than my OEM Honda brake shoes and they perform the same. Make sure to get a new brake drum hardware kit from either Centric or Honda when replacing your shoes and drums for optimal performance.
