Used to replace the factory housing in a 2014 Mini Cooper Countryman. Fit perfectly where the old leaking one came out.

Buying parts for a Mini Cooper is confusing enough with the minute changes in parts/sensors/fittings within the same year of a model. Purchased the incorrect one from a local autoparts that had the wrong sensors, so came here. This one fit perfectly and operates great. All the seals and material build of this looks and feels the same as the original. Make sure if shopping for a thermostat on a Cooper to pay close attention to if the sensors are angled or straight and if there is a bleeder plug included on the housing. This item here was perfect for the replacement.

Works well. As with other reviews, these are a PITA to replace. Hint, the clip for the crossover tube can be installed fairly easily from directly above the slot using a long skinny pair of pliers or hemostates.

Bought this to repair my r56 mini after getting a coolant temperature error. It shipped to me quickly and the cost was less than half of what the local autoparts store had. Seems to be the same quality materials as the OEM. The process to replace it was difficult. You have to remove several connectors, hoses and a hard to reach wire clip at to water pump tube, but just 3 bolts to hold the housing.Everything worked perfectly after installation, but you could have ECM errors that will have to be cleared by computer or shop if they do not go away after driving for a while. This is because of the numerous sensor connectors that must be removed during installation. It is important to be patient due to the lack of space in the engine compartment. Make sure that you have a gallon of coolant handy to refill the system. Would definitely buy again.

I purchased this to replace one that had a slight leak on a 2013 Mini Cooper. The first time I ordered it, the order was canceled by the seller and the item was relisted at a higher price. I should have known then not to proceed with the purchase. After installing the part I went for a short test drive with no issues. However, I did not run the engine long enough to test the operation of the the thermostat, only the seal. The next day I took the car for a longer drive and found that the thermostat did not open and as a result, I was left 30 miles away from home with an overheating car. It would seem that this part was never tested for operation and was faulty. As a result the mass airflow sensor and the turbo were damaged. The $50 dollars I saved has now cost me over $300.

Cheapest option to replace on my mini. Quality like OEM without the price tag. Easy install, and fixed my problem. Fit my 2012 countryman.

This was a relatively inexpensive replacement for my original thermostat/housing assembly, which failed after 115,000 miles. It was en exact fit, including the wire connector receptors.

Pulled old and put this one on. Fit well and works as expected. No issues so far (2 months in). I do recommend the clamp pliers you can purchase separately for tight spaces during replacement. Was able to accomplish in a day with minimal experience while following a YouTube tutorial. This is the housing, thermostat, and seal so it has everything you need short of the clamp pliers and replacement coolant. Godspeed.
