  • The secondary air injection pump (also referred to as a smog pump or SAI pump) is responsible for lowering the number of carbon emissions that come out of the tailpipe of a vehicle. This is necessary since a vehicle engine is never 100% efficient in the combustion process.
  • Secondary air injection pump failure is easy to recognize. If you notice at least two of the following symptoms, you need to get it serviced right away: 1) Check Engine Light; 2) Failed Emissions Test; 3) Weak Acceleration; 4) Engine Stalling; 5) Low Idle
  • Package includes 1x smog air pump with 3x air pump mount. Please confirm that the OE part number and the applicable model match your vehicle before placing the order. If you are not sure if our products are compatible with your model, please contact us.

Works for a couple days, then the motor must have shorted as it blew the fuse in my car.

Product works as described. Cleared my codes for insufficient airflow. Just don't forget to transfer over the filter that's on the original part under the top cover.

Part was not a fit for an (my) e36 even though it was indicated to be a correct fitment. It looked like it for an e46. It however looked like it was good quality part. Return was easy.

Product seems to work, but did not come with a filter under the top cap like the OEM air pumps do.[Update] pump is still working, had to source my own filter for it, had held with idle control problems at start up. Is noticeably loud, but im okay with that as it seems to be doing its job.
