Fantastic, solid, socket set for a great price. The ratcheting on the wrench is very smooth. All the sockets are clearly labeled. The hard case is a bonus and doesn't take up a bunch of room. With this being a 1/2" socket set, the wrench is pretty heavy duty. I would recommend this!

This SEDY 1/2" Drive 25-piece SAE & metric impact socket set is a very high quality set in a nice, compact case. And it comes with adapters that make this set even more useful when combined with 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch sockets and 1/4 inch hex bits that “are already on hand.” And the fact that the set includes all the way up to 24mm and 1 inch sockets is awesome since so many sets i encounter stop at about 7/8 inch and cause great frustration when encountering larger nuts and bolts.The sockets have bright, readable markings that don’t require a magnifying glass to decipher. And the simple dark gray foam insert in the case helps keep the sockets from jumping around when carrying the case, closed. This foam insert might seem minor but when you have to re-arrange the sockets every time you open the case, that process takes away a lot of valuable time from getting the job accomplished. AAAND it is very frustrating. So that simple piece of foam is extremely helpful. (That piece of foam is not shown in the sales listing but it was present “as received.”)The ratchet not only has the typical retaining pin set-up that impact sockets use, but in this case it actually works. It is so annoying when a ratchet does not really grip the socket tightly and the socket pops off and falls into the engine compartment. And then the long, tedious search begins for “where did the socket fall to?” No such worries with this ratchet since it “holds on to the retaining pin hole for dear life” and the socket is not coming loose from the ratchet till you want it to. And the double retaining pin holes on each socket are something i have never encountered before. I am so used to having to spin a socket all the way around to find the retaining pin hole and now - with these sockets - i can find the hole in half the time since there are two holes per each socket. Nice when something works like it should.And the three adapters (the 1/2inch to 3/8inch and to 1/4inch socket adapters and the 1/4 inch hex bit adapter) add a lot of capability without adding lots of bulk to the set. The ability to combine this awesome 1/2 inch ratchet with 1/4 and 1/2 inch impact sockets and various 1/4 inch hex bits that i already have on hand adds a lot of capability that can help to resolve a lot of weird issues that a person can encounter when working on old cars with very stubborn nuts and bolts.This set is compact, simple and of beautiful quality. It puts a smile on my face every time i open the case. Wish i had more tools that did that.

Do not let the price sway you away from at least taking a look at this set! We all know you get what you pay for! However, this is one of those nice little gems of a set. Super easy to read the size on side of the sockets. Plus, it goes all the way up to 1"! Which is thoughtful because most sets fall short at 7/8. The case holds the tools well and snug as long as you keep the foam that is laid on top which helps to alleviate some rattle in transport and keeps the sockets and tools in the same place when you last closed the lid. The double retaining pins WORK well, no slippage or falling off. Also, it comes with your up and downsize adapters too! All this fitting nicely into the carrying case. This set is of nice enough to use regularly in your shop/garage and affordable to use it in a set of traveling tools (if it gets lost or stolen) you wouldn't cry due to the current cost).

Carrying case holds everything well. The pieces are all clearly marked and easy to interchange. I'm not a huge fan of the feel (but that's a personal texture thing), but they feel well made and worked well to remove and tighten bolts.It's a ratchet and drive set and does exactly what you would expect. It feels well made, but I wouldn't call it top quality as I definitely prefer my Craftsman set over this one. But for a nice set, this does the job.
