The product has inside like cement, sand.I don’t know what’s going on. I tried to scrape its not coming off It’s like your product or unfinished.

The thick O rings and removable barbed fitting was convenient. I like to be able to easily remove and clean this valve between brews and these removable pieces will make it easier. I have a drilled kettle with female threads. I didn’t use the backing nut but did use the O ring. Seems like it will hold well under a boil. The barbed fitting is 1/2 inch inner diameter which was larger than I was expecting but should make for easy transfer. The locking ring is a nice touch as well. Prevents accidental bumps and moving of the ball valve. Most stainless steel ball valves can be 25-30. This was very affordable for the quality. Also comes with a roll of teflon tape which helps not make another trip to the hardware store.

Does the job, had a oversized hole on a 30gallon pale and this fixed my leaking issues that the plastic spouts had. And they flow much better!

Buying on Amazon is becoming more of a crap-shoot of cheap products, so I am starting to get excited when basic items simply operate as they’re supposed to. This item functions adequately & as advertised.

Nice quality and worked perfect for my wood stove water pot I made out of a stainless pot. Much cheaper than buying a pre-made one.

The valve is a nice quality stainless valve with NPS (National Pipe Straight) threads and quality silicone sealing rings as shown in the pictures. The straight thread is used for bulkhead applications as the description says the valve is intended for (though the description also states NPT - National Pipe Taper - threads are on the valve)
