These are really high quality nail heads at a really reasonable price. They are tough so they go into soft wood easily. I love how large these are because I can use them for oversized barn doors. They are a beautiful color that will pair well with my rustic decor at the cottage and would likely go with other types of decor as well.

You can learn something new every day! I never knew what these large decorative tacks were called. I needed some to decorate the straps of my faux ceiling beams; so when I stumbled upon these to review, I was thrilled.These clavos are of decent quality. I love the shape, size, and cut of these clavos. The tack point is a good length. The point seems securely applied, but I will be predrilling the placement holes as is recommended.I wish the black-painted finish was better applied. Straight out of the box, some have lost the paint on the edges. I will be repainting them before adding them to my faux metal ceiling beam straps (I'm using leather). From a distance, they will look like the real thing is holding up my ceiling beams.

The “clavos” are fine and a good quality. That being said, I feel they are packed very poorly. This is the second time I ordered these and both times they were placed in a small box loosely. That is, they bounced around in the box and arrived all scratched up. A little foam or something is needed so they are secure and this would prevent damage.

We ordered these for a super niche use, which is using them for shield making for the renaissance festival. This pack of clavos were just right for our use and we thought they looked great in the final product. Nice finish, cool hammered looking design.They're on the larger side so 12 is a good number for the pack size, but we ideally should have gotten two packs to make it look less sparse. No notes on the quality or construction - they were just what we needed and went into the boards and other shield materials as they should.
