I really like these notebooks. The cardboard backing piece is thick enough that you can write while holding it in your hand without bending or warping the notebook. It would be nice if they made a slightly shorter, pocket-sized version of them.

Got these for my wife because she is always making lists and notes to do things.

Solid covers make it easy to write on anywhere.

Best pad I’ve ever used. The heavy cover makes a much better writing surface when reporting in the field and in the fly.

This is by far the best 4" x 8" Reporter's Notebook I've found anywhere! The front and back covers are sturdy, thick cardboard - making it easy to hold the notebook in one hand while writing on it with the other. The paper is standard thickness, with medium density lines, helping freehand notes and diagrams stand out nicely. The spiral binding is high-grade, so it doesn't need to go all the way to the sides. Other notebooks have cheap spiral binding that goes to the edge, making it easy to bend and causing the pages to be torn at the top. This notebook doesn't have that problem. To top it off, there are TWELVE Notebooks in the pack, making it a heck of a deal!

... But the covers are almost *too* thick and sturdy. It's hard to describe, but the pads are if anything a little awkward. But they will *always* be an incredibly stable writing surface.

Delighted! I love these pads! They are a really handy size with spiral binding at the top. Both front and back covers are made from thick, rigid board which means you can easily write while holding the pad in your hand. And at a great price too!

They are fine for in-field notes. The covers are steady, thick, great for writing without support. But, with the thick covers they are also surprisingly heavy.

I made the mistake of ordering a batch of flimsy "Reporter's Notebooks" that were completely unsatisfactory. The backs were not stiff and the pages were hard to flip without tearing them. These Juvale pads are almost perfect. The front and back covers are stiff cardboard, which means you can stand them up when you're typing. The spiral binding is great. Pages flip easily. Won't call it perfect -- they might consider making it an even better value with 75-80 pages instead of 70. But this product is professional grade and I will certainly buy it again.

The covers are hard enough to make it easy to write in while holding the pad in your hand and the price is economical, but the spiral wires are too big and too few, so the pages come off too easily from what I'd consider normal wear and tear.

Sconsigliato.
