If your child writes really hard, these are definitely something that should be avoided. The graphite in these will come up into the plastic sheathing and would have to be pressed back down from the rear. Changing each cartridge is quite easy.

Daughter says they are amazing. We love that you can replace the tips to get a great new sharp point. The caps make them much safer for putting in pockets and backpacks. The designs are cute and you can't beat the value , especially considering how many replacement tips you get.
