I like to torch all my lumber or most of it to pull out the wood grain.Just as I love this stain and the classic black transparent. This stuff works even better for both semi transparent and showing plenty of the natural wood grain. And the browns you get when torch wood. And the keep fine sanding the wood down to a finer grit then I finnish with steel wool 4 odd. Drys semi quick as long as you apply it in thin coats and I wipe it off semi quick. To get the desired look Im after. Then I will use a clean rag and buff it so by the time your down with this buffing .It sure wont take long for the boards to be completely dry. Then I live in phoenix arizona where its dry as a cracker.Boiled linseed oil drys fast here.

So pretty!!! Easy for beginner. I didn't realize what I was doing for thre bottom of the table, but watched a few YouTube videos for tips and the top turned out perfectly. Will definitely use in more projects!

I was looking for something that would be a little more translucent. This is a very solid grey colored stain. If you're looking for more of a driftwood look, I would go with another stain. If you're looking for a darker grey color that still shows some wood grain, this is the stain for you.

This grey stain is going to look odd with any but a very very light wood. It is a very nice stain but since it is also a "color" rather than straight stain, it obscures the grain a little. This is a medium wood from a dollhouse. One coat allows the grain to show but also the color of the wood. I posted 2 pics; one with flash and one without. Hope this helps.

I applied a single thin coat with a paper towel on a peice of Oregon Red Cedar Wood and I'm happy with the outcome. It went on smooth with minimal odor and dried quickly. One coat was all it took to make the wood "grey" while still retaining the shimmery luster of the natural wood.

I love this color! I love how easy it is to apply as a staining and how you can achieve different tones depending on how long you leave it on before wiping off the excess. Very pleased with it! And a little goes a long way so don't let the size of the can fool you - it really is enough for decent sized projects.
