Super solid plate - worked just as we had hoped! While the welds look a bit questionable out of the box, it has held up well and was easy to install. It has multiple holes on it that allow it be a universal fit, which is convenient. A great addition to my husband's shop, we're happy with it.

Has holes for common intake manifolds and drilling holes for other setups is easy enough. Strong enough to pick up stripped down small blocks, I don't know if I would trust it to pick up an engine with a transmission still attached but it handled a 350 just fine.

I'm not super confident in the welds, personally. I'll weld it up proper myself, but you probably want to pay for something you don't have to half-fabricate yourself...

True confessions, I had no idea what this item was until I looked through the product pictures. I’m still not completely sure exactly what it’s for or whether it’s a permanent add-on or a temporary mount just to lift an engine, or something else altogether. However, I’m going to take my husband’s word for its usefulness since I don’t know any better (or worse). Although my husband has not used this yet, he says the steel seems to be good quality and the welds decent enough for the advertised load. He’s working on an old Chevy 350 and he said the mounting holes will work great with it. He also said it’s a good price. As someone who doesn’t know the first thing about cars or repairs / rebuilding, I will say this is one of the least expensive parts or tools I’ve seen throughout his many car projects.

Looked GREAT when I first opened it, then I looked closer at the welds...GOOFOUND. Think the seagull was watching the fish instead of the bead line... It would PROBABLY be ok.... but I'm going to ruin the beautiful finish with a couple of penetrating beads and put a few more holes in it for different carb flanges. Price/Quality 4 stars. SBC probably no issue.... Rat or B/RB I'd definitely at some bead... then again... how good are those 30 year old carb flange threads on that vintage intake?

GOOFOUND Universal Engine Lift Plate. This lift plate looks the same as my 50 year old well-used plate. Should fit all two- and four- barrel intake bolt patterns.

One of my husband's favorite hobbies is working on cars. He does numerous engine swaps - per year and I had noticed that he'd use this type of thing or something similar to it in the past. This is very well-made the wells are solid insecure it's heavy and connection points that adapt to the manifolds on the carburetor base is nice and thick. It is heavy well-made and is extremely functional. I recommend this for something else to use opposed to the four-point connecting system.
