If you need a very small vent to open, this is the one. I expected the opening to be 12"x12" - but that is the overall measurement. I was a little disappointed - but it's my own fault.As for the quality of the build - it is good. The latches are nice, they push in to release, which works good for not having any other exterior knobs or latches. The frame has decent girth - allowing a nice flush look. Overall, it is a nice product. Price seems a little bit high as of now.

I like this gable vent/access panel for so many reasons. It's two best features are (1) the screen that prevents animals and bugs from coming in and (2) when you press on it, it remains attached instead of flying open so that you need to press it again to fully release it. This dual release system is a common sense feature commonly overlooked. The quality of this metal (not plastic) gable vent/access panel is unmistakable. The corners are perfectly mitered and the seals are complete with no separation. This is a high-quality item which is easy to install and easy to clean. Highly recommended.

This vent looks great and seems to be well put together. It comes with a mesh filter to act as an insect barrier, which is great, and overall everything feels nice and solid. Definitely a nice product.

This vent door comes nicely boxed and with a filter. Itโs made of metal and has a magnetic press closure, which is handy. It looks nice and clean and although I havenโt installed it into my wall yet, I havenโt noticed any major issues or defects with it. It looks nice.
