This set has a nice fit and finish and feel to it. The bushings seem top quality, a good metal and everything is really well-machined.The plate that came with my Bosch Colt (trim) router didn't fit but I printed a plate with the standard "Porter Cable" holes and then these fit just great. The bushings are a bit taller than the template plywood I usually cut on my small laser engraver but they still work and should be easy enough to sand down if I end up wanting to commit to a less deep size. The bit that was included seemed like it was potentially around 1/16" but I think it's a little bigger. So you can't just swap between the 5/16" and 7/16" bushings to get a perfect inlay but with a suitable bit should be fine. The centering guide is a bit different than some online tutorials show but works fine.

This is a really well made set of router template bushings. I have been wanting a complete set like this for some time now. They are well machined and look great also. All appear to be dead on accurate. If I had one thing I would like to see on a future revision it would be that the sizes would be printed or engraved into each bushing. Otherwise this is a really great set.

The included case securely holds the different size bushing guides securely in place and there is room to fit the centering and router bits The case size labels for the guides are large and easy to read. Using calipers, the OD of the guides is accurate to within a few thousandths of an inch. It is nice that they include three lock rings, so you can set up guides an several routers (which saves time when cutting dovetails). The guides worked with my DeWalt 20V router. They also fit my Bosch router, but it was necessary to use an adapter that is purchased separately. Would be nice if the outside of the case included a better label. Some of the included guides are large enough that a 1/2" router bit would work better, but this case does not include a 1/2" centering bit. Overall the quality of the guides is good and it is well organized.

If I had to speculate, I would guess that the higher price for this set has to do with the centering cones - that machining cones to precision is more difficult than machining straight cuts and holes. But that's me speculating. What you get is a very nice set of brass bushing guides in a very nice case along with a solid brass 1/4 centering set. The case is solid (though one of the feet of mine came broken off). I particularly like that the brass parts fix snugly into solid foam which is clearly labeled. My flex router came with a base that these bushings fit perfectly. They are expertly knurled and the threads are smooth. It's a great set and I am glad I have it.I did knock off a point because they left me confused and included no instructions: I am referring to their "3 way to position" photo. Maybe I am missing something, but to center the plate, my understanding is that the cone goes into the opening while the shank is inserted as normal into the router so that the cone centers the opening relative to the router's spinning axis. (also why it is only a 1/4 inch centering cone). And of course, once centered, you screw the plate in place. Their image shows the cone with the shaft pointing UP - giving it no relation whatsoever to the router axis and no explanation of how that is supposed to do any centering.

These guide bushings allow me to turn just about any bit into a pattern bit. I am most interested in using the wide variety of solid carbide bits that I have including down spiral bits. And, because the location is on the router than on the bit (like with a pattern bit) you can take multiple passes without worrying about running off the patern. The finishing on these is ok, not fabulous, but functional. The biggest disappointment is in the price. You can get better quality bushings for about half the price. I do not see anything that would justify this high of a price. Um, they do come with a router bit.

I ordered this primarily to use with sign making templates. The bushings fit perfectly in my Dewalt compact router plunge base (DNP612). They are a slip fit in the opening and are flush with the bottom of the base plate. The locking rings have good knurling to enable tightening thereby locking the bushing firmly in place. These also fit in my Bosch 1617EVSPK plunge base with the Porter Cable adapter.I knocked 1 star off of my rating for 3 reasons:First, the "drill bit" included is actually a tiny end mill that is much smaller than the one shown in the product images. It really isn't useful at all for my application but would allow for more precise cuts if you were using this with inlay templates.Second, the included centering tool can only be used in 1/4" routers. That's not a deal killer for me given that I primarily plan on using this with my compact Dewalt router and plunge base but I will have to buy a 1/2" centering tool if I want to use this with my larger Bosch router that is set up to take 1/2" bits. It would have been nice if the inBovoga included a 1/2" centering tool as well.Third, the price of this set is on the high end of comparable sets sold on Amazon. However, it is a quality set and I can't speak to the quality of less costly sets.Shortcomings aside, this set is a high quality set and should provide a lifetime of use.
