This is an excellent replacement for the PS4 DualShock controller battery. Both my old controller batteries would not hold a charge for more than 30 minutes. After installing this battery, they now last several days without being charged just like when they were brand new.Came with the tools required to open the controller and took about five minutes to finish the job.**Be sure you read the seller’s description regarding what controller model this battery works with. The details they provide are accurate and if you follow their instructions you’ll have no problems.

I bought 2 of these for the original controllers I bought with my PS4 (circa 2015) I checked the model # on my controllers and it matched the models in the description and these had the most positive reviews so I bought em. They worked fine so far. Only one day in so too soon to rate reliability but these batteries are definitely a huge improvement from the 2-3 hours I was getting from the factory batteries. Install was easy enough. If you’re unsure just about how to replace the battery plenty of folks have made videos. So far I’m extremely happy. For 1/2 the price of one new controller and 15 minutes of my time, I now have 2 Controllers that work again! The kit also comes with some tools. I didn’t use them as I already had my own but it’s a nice touch.If you need a new battery for your PS4 controller, make sure your controller model matches and if it does, this seems like a great choice! If anything changes I’ll update my review.

My controller's battery was no longer holding its charge. I figured it would be cheaper to just swap out the battery than to buy a brand new controller. This battery fits my controller perfectly and so far seems to be charging and working fine (make sure you look on the back of your controller to see what model number it is. There is a different battery type for newer controllers).The included tools worked pretty well. The screwdriver fits fine and didn't strip the screws. The plastic wedges also worked pretty well and didn't come close to breaking. I'm not sure how other people were breaking these tools.

This battery came with a little kit containing a couple of prying tools and a small screwdriver. It's a little tricky to get the controller open without knocking out the front trigger switches. Basically just remove the screws, using both hands grip and twist the controller, and coax it apart with the prying tool. Then you just disconnect the old battery and plug in the new one, snap it back together and you're done.My controller needed constant charging. Now it's lasting all day.

I initially purchased 2 batteries of another kind that did not work in my 2 older playstation 4 controllers, and I was very disappointed. I was hesitant to order these because I figured I would just have another problem, but I went ahead and ordered 2 of them. When they arrived I was surprised how small the batteries were because they were a little bit smaller than the ones that come in the controller. I plugged them in and the light flickered out. I was worried. So I turned the controller on to see if it worked and was super happy to find that the reason they wouldn't charge was because they came fully charged already! Nice touch. I am so grateful that for $26 plus shipping I got 2 batteries that are working great in my old controllers and I no longer have to spend another $120 to buy 2 brand new controllers. Thank you so much, I'm very happy!

As a gamer we are often hard on our controllers. I rarely charge my controller unless it's dead. So, just like you would expect I needed to replace the battery after a couple years of use.This battery/tool kit combo is all you'll need to replace the battery and get back gaming. I think in under 20 minutes I had my battery replaced. The tools aren't the best quality, but they're sufficient for the job.

The problem here is that the connector attached to this replacement battery for purposes of snapping into the PS4 controller is not the same size as the connector on the OEM battery. This replacement's white plastic connector is too big (by about 2mm), and doesn't fit into the receptor on the motherboard. When I tried to force it into place, it broke the receptor on the motherboard. So now I have to go to GameStop and purchase a brand new controller for $50. Seller should have verified that the item was functional. This item doesn't actually work as a PS4 battery replacement.

This battery seems to hold longer charge than OEM. Let see how long it will last. Took my hubby around 5 minutes to replace it with included tools. Fast shipping from the seller as well.Updated:The battery dies after a few months. I will see if the seller will honor the warranty.
