They can be a little difficult to get on but they work perfect to keep my pans from scratching or rusting! I got these because I got a new set of pans I didn't want to get ruined in the dishwasher and I love them! They work perfect to protect my pans.

The caps look great and cover all the rusted and worn tips on my 10 year old dishwasher rack. But they are very difficult to install. I had to lightly sand the rusted tips before installing the caps. Even on the tips that were not corroded, the caps were still very tough to install. I had to use a twisting motion to get them started, and then "screw" them clockwise while pushing down firmly. This took about an hour to do the bottom rack, and I had to take a break before finishing. The caps are very secure, but they were a lot of trouble to install.

There is a risk of injury with rusted tips on your dishwasher racks.At my job we have GE, Amana and Haier brand dishwashers and this fits them all. When the rubber coating gets scratched and rusty, or damaged at the tips of the racks for any reason, these fit over top nicely. I cut the rusty portion off with some electricians pliers, then a tiny glop of silicone sealant for lubrication and extra watertightness, then twist these on until seated. They seem tight enough to hold by themselves, but I like to add the silicone. These are almost twice as long as some others i have seen, in many cases i can shorten them before use.

I hour these to out I. My dishwasher racks where the plastic has worn off. They are way too small so was unable to use them.
