I've been a Pioneer fan since I was 17 and my dad bought me my first head unit. It was a single-DIN pioneer that went into my old t-bird, and I instantly fell in love. The change in audio quality from a factory stereo was mind-blowing, and my teenage heart fell hard. Ever since I've only owned Pioneer head units, though I've played with plenty of other brands. I just can't find a reason to abandon ship. I've wanted to replace my Pioneer head unit for a while, not because it wasn't working or working well, but because I wanted wireless Android Auto. I've tried several of the little AA adaptors, which, while they work, always have some flaw. When I saw this head unit was available I had to try it.It arrives in a nice box and includes the head unit, wiring harness, GPS antenna, and a microphone. Everything was in near-mint condition.I lucked out, the wiring harness for this head unit and for my 2600NEX are identical. I didn't have to really wire anything, just move the harness to the new head unit and hook up the extras. If you've never done this before you'll want to get a crimper and some quality butt connectors to hook the wiring harness to the one you purchase for your vehicle. It's not complicated, just color matching wires for the most part.In operation, this is a pretty cool head unit. There aren't a huge number of features that it has over my 2600, but it does have wireless AA and it works very well. It's disconnected twice during use so far, and the one annoying thing about this head unit as since it has its own GPS antenna it can tell when the vehicle is moving and won't let you reconnect until you've stopped. Annoying if it happens on the interstate.The GPS, thanks to the antenna, has been spot-on during use. No more of it thinking I've made a turn when I haven't, or not taken the exit that I've taken. I can't speak to the internal amplifier as I use external amplifiers, but the audio quality is solid. The phone features work well, the included microphone has pretty good noise cancellation and I've had no complaints that the other person couldn't hear me on a call.The touch screen is very responsive and crystal clear. I put a screen protector on mine before I used it, just in case.Overall I'm extremely satisfied with this head unit. Pioneer always puts out quality head units and this one is no exception. I recommend!
