Used to replace a broken hinge assembly (Ridgid band saw). Fit was excellent but you have to do a bit of modifying to get it to work. Would have been nice to just replace the part. But factory replacements for that saw are no longer available. A lot cheaper than buying a new saw.

This is a well made replacement for the tensioner on my bandsaw. It’s cast very well with clean edges and no obvious flaws, and seems to use high quality material that should last. I don’t notice any flaws or anything to complain about but if it breaks I’ll update the review. So far, though, it works great and no complaints.

Arrived well packaged. Fit and finish are acceptable and not as good as original. Two set screws were missing so I borrowed from the original. My largest concern is the sloppy fit into the side grooves. Lots of back and forth play. Additionally the wheel bolt was a challenge to start. Thankful I was able to install without cross threading. Works and I will try a different version if I have to replace this piece again.

The cast aluminum hinges and tension adjusters on many 14" bandsaws tend to break. You can buy new castings for some saws, or you can just get the whole assembly, threaded rod with knob, tension side block adjuster, spring and bracket included here. This is a fine replacement part for your 14" saw. If you have such a saw and you use it, you're going to probably have this part break. Don't hesitate to get this replacement set. Check to make certain your parts look like these first, but if you're in the majority that do, this is all you need to make the repair.
