  • The rubber strip is made of neoprene and has a typical synthetic rubber smell. When left outdoors, the smell usually dissipates within a few days.

  • It has excellent flexibility and can adapt to various application conditions. It is commonly used for automotive gaskets, household anti-slip and sealing purposes, pet furniture bumpers, outdoor equipment and fitness gear protection

  • For most applications, the dimensions are accurate. However, there may be a slight variance of 0.01-0.1 during production. If you require extremely precise rubber products, please let us know directly.

To be clear, this is not a foam or soft type of neoprene material, rather it is a dense, firm, rubber material. I used my durometer to get a measurement, and at a room temperature of about 50 degrees Fahrenheit, I’m getting a reading of about 75. When the air (and the material) warms up a bit the material gets a little bit softer, probably a 73 or so. The material does have a little bit of “give” to it, but not much, so I believe it will hold up well with heavier applications. I also suspect it will absorb some amount of vibration and provide some amount of protection from impacts and such as well. The material feels and looks to be of an excellent quality, and the adhesive is very tacky. A sturdy pair of quality scissors cuts it easily and cleanly. No complaints.

I ordered this roll of rubber because I travel extensively in a converted ambulance camper, with several tools and gadgets and the rattling around while driving is driving me crazy. I just returned home to the cold weather and although I can cut the rubber right now, I don't want to risk messing up the adhesive trying to adhere it to anything in 30 degree temps. I'll wait until it either warms up or I take her back to a warmer climate before adhering it to give it the best chance of staying affixed. But there is certainly enough "padding" in the rubber to stop the clanging.

This is solid, heavy neoprene material, useful for gasketing, sealing, vibration dampening, etc. It's not a softer foam material like you would use for weather proofing. Stays put pretty well if you clean the surface you're applying it to.

Full disclosure, i under estimated the self adhering rubber stripping. The 3/8-Inch Thick Neoprene Rubber Strips is not compression-able enough for my intended use. It’s actually quite dense. It’s too rigid and not flexible enough to bend/shape/form to my application needs.I just installed a replacement on demand water heater in my 5th wheel RV, and with it, I also had to install a new door/access panel on the exterior side of the RV. The quantity (length) of the weather stripping that arrived with the water heater was enough seal around the flange of the exterior door for the water heater. In my search, this neoprene strip showed up. I went with the 3/8” as I envisioned the neoprene would compressible and not be as dense as it is, the 3/8” is somewhat thick., and has not noticeable give.As described and ultimately a over site on my part , “The Solid Rubber Roll, Rubber Sheet for DIY Gasket, Warehouse, Pads, Seals, Weather Stripping, Flooring (2 Inch Wide, 5 Feet Long) with Adhesive Backing.”Although there purpose for many applications, it’s just not for me and my intent. Seemingly a very good product, well made, and with good adhesion. Let be know it will not go to waste, as I will have a use for it, some day.I am disappointed in myself for not researching this product further, as I would liked to provide a more experienced useful review. None the less, it is heavy duty, durable, and stout. Feels like it will last over-the duration of time whether the application may be.

This adhesive backed neoprene rubber strip measures a hair over 1/4 thick due to the thickness of the adhesive. Otherwise, dimensions are as listed. This comes packaged in plastic and, upon opening, has a fairly strong odor. I immediately took it to the shop to avoid the wrath of "She Who Must be Obeyed"! Better safe than sorry. The odor fades with time, expected and not a problem. This is handy to have for seals, bumpers, shock & vibration absorption and more. Good to have on hand in the shop as well. Recommended.

I was hoping this would be a softer neoprene rubber, so I could use it for vibration isolation. It's quite thick and stays curled up, so adding weight or something heavy to keep it flattened in place is required. The adhesive actually lifted on mine before I set a large 3D printer on it. While the rubber is consistent in thickness and was able to isolate vibrations and movement, the adhesive back will likely need to be replaced with something with a bit more less reactive to the petroleum in the rubber that ends up softening it. Good rubber, just not great self adhesive material.

A rubber foot was knocked off of my daughter's small airbrush compressor. Rather than finding a matching part, we opted for an easier fix by taking the rest of the feet off, cutting small sections of this material to serve as the new feet. Generally, when I think of neoprene, I think of mousepads, wetsuits, and flexible support braces. This material is more dense and rigid than the spongier stuff I was expecting. It performed better than imagined. The rubber stays put atop a shelf beneath her benchtop. The shock absorption is ok being as thin and compressed as this material is. No need to build a lip to prevent the compressor from dancing off the edge. It performed adequately for our application and has several other purposes.
