This turned out to be the most skillful, well planned out, assortment of hydroponics seed planting kit I have had the privilege to receive. There are enough essentials in this kit to last me a few seasons. The kit came with more instructions than my original hydroponics system kit.Everything in this kit feels of high quality and the abundance of healthy seeds in each individualized package is second to none. The 14 sponges, domes, baskets, labels, tweezers and A&B plant food are a terrific buy. This is a must have kit for those that own a hydroponic system simply because it has everything (minus the water) to get started.Highly recommended for growth success

I knew I was going to get a seed kit- great! What I didn't expect were the thoughtful accessories that it comes with to help you succeed in beginning your own garden. I'm thoroughly impressed with this set, from the way the seeds are packaged to the labels and plant food that it comes with. Everything you could need and want is already included. I'm excited to see how well these sprout so I can move onto the next set of veggies!

I ordered the salad mix which comes with 6 different types of seeds. The seed packages have plenty of seeds, so I expect to have more than enough for this planting season. I wanted to experiment to see which method of germination would have the best chance and rate of growth, so I put all 14 pods in my hydroponic grower in the pods and sponges provided, and I put a few more seeds in a moist paper towel folded over on itself. Both methods were very successful. The butterhead seeds germinated first. Within 5 days, I saw leaves popping out the top of the sponge in some of the hydroponic pods. After 7 days, I saw the seeds in the paper towel germinating. All but 2 seeds germinated. After 12 days I put half the paper towel seeds in a different hydroponic sponge system and half in potting soil. The seed moved to the hydroponic sponges are doing much better. Maybe it was too early to move into soil, but it looks like those aren't going to make it. Meanwhile, the seeds in the original hydroponic system are continuing to grow. After 2 weeks I see sprouts from all but 2 pods. I will abandon those and start round 2. I'm planning to start new sprouts every 2 weeks to keep the harvest going throughout the summer and fall. I think this is a pretty good success rate for these seeds.

I was skeptical about getting a pod kit for my Aerogarden that wasn't an officially branded kit. This was perfectly compatible with my Aerogarden. The kit includes a user guide, tweezers, grow sponges, plant food, the sponge holders, 6 seed packets, perforated stickers for the plants to grow through, plant food, and protective domes while the seeds are sprouting. There were a lot of seeds in each packet and the instructions didn't state how many to put in each sponge. I used a bunch and it was probably way too many as my seeds sprouted the next day. The 4th picture is the 13th day in my Aerogarden of the Red and Green Leaf Lettuce and Golden Cherry Tomato. My garden is small and I have found it best to only use 2 pods at a time. I am excited to try the other varieties.

If you already have a hydroponics growing system, this is a great supplemental set for fresh vegetables. It has seeds, baskets, sponges, and vitamins. Basically, everything one needs except for the hydroponic water basin. I was gifted a small, eight-pod URUQ hydroponics growing system, but it came with flowers and I was not excited to get into it. With this seed pack, I have dived headfirst into the hydroponic deep end and am excited to have a new hobby that will yield fresh vegetables. The seeds germinated and sprouted in a week. I am now looking into expanding to a larger system so I can enjoy the benefits of healthy eating year-round. If you already have a hydroponic system, this is a great pack to supplement your green thumb.

I have an older AeroGarden 3 that I dragged out of storage last spring. It took nearly a full year to grow a viable jalapeno plant but I remember having better luck with smaller plants and herbs so thought I would give it another shot this year with this salad kit.Everything is well-packaged and the kit is very complete, right down to little plastic covers and fertilizer solutions. The kit even has plastic tweezers, which I actually did use to place the seeds. The long triangular plastic cages that the soil goes into were a little longer than I would have like and I'm pretty sure they are touching the bottom of my water reservoir but they do fit in the holes and so far are staying flush/flat on the surface.The kit came with a nice variety of seeds but I can only use three pods at a time, so it will be a while before I can comment on how quickly the various seeds germinate, etc. I use a few seeds for each pod, just in case some don't sprout. I'll update this review if I have any issues with germination.Overall, very complete kit and good value for anyone trying to retrofit an old Aerogarden planter.**3/13/25 Update** - the tomato seeds sprung up very quickly (within days) but the spinach and lettuce have yet to do anything. My aero garden is inside a small greenhouse, which has supplemental heating, so temperature should not be the issue. The plastic seed cages are just a little long for my older Aero garden and this keeps the lid from sitting completely flush. It's a bit annoying. Dropped one star for the seeds, which are probably just too old.
