In preparing my house for hurricanes and other high winds, I'm using 1/4"-20 hurricane anchors around every window to be able to cover each window with plywood in a hurry - and these are a perfect fit for the anchors I'm using. They are plenty long enough to protect all the threads that protrude once the anchors are installed and they stay on very well.Very happy with these and I would recommend them to friends.

We ordered the LanKstet 1/4" X 1" Screw Thread Protectors Caps for Hurricane Shutters Hardware (100 pcs) to replace some of our older ones that got painted over.These are a little thinner and about 1/8" shorter than the ones that came with our shutter anchor screws, but they fit with no issues so far.Time will tell if they hold up in the Florida heat/sun.So far we are satisfied with them.
