This unit works great to save from having to use a dustpan, if you are mobility challenged. You can just sweep the debris right up to it and "whoosh", it sucks it up. It isn't too loud and only runs for a few seconds after activation. It is designed for uses such as hair salons or barbershops, but it works well in my kitchen where I have non-carpeted floors. Generally speaking, the sensitivity is great, and if it is on "auto" it wakes up almost immediately upon "seeing" the broom. There is also a "Manual" setting. This is handy if you have curious pets that like to activate it by being close to the sensor. (The first few times is funny... but it can get old.) I plan to move it into my craft room when we get new flooring.

So, maybe this isn’t the most needed thing for the average person. I asked my husband if I should test it on manual first, or automatic. He said, “Well, if you’re going to be lazy and not use a dustpan, you might as well go full lazy and test it on automatic.” He’s not wrong. Your average person is capable of bending down to sweep dirt into a dustpan. You also don’t need half the things you have in your life. You want them. So, if you’re a fully able-bodied person, don’t ask yourself if you really need it, because the answer is no. The question is, how much do you want it? For someone with mobility issues, this could be a huge help. Ok, onto the good stuff.Out of the box, this thing seems like decent quality. The plastic feels like it will hold up as long as you’re not rough with it, and don’t slam the bin closed after dumping it out. I like that the filter can be washed and reused. It was a bit tricky to get back in. It’s not complicated. I just couldn’t get it to line up just right. Once it was lined up right, it went in easy. I tried it on automatic mode and it sucked the dirt up as soon as it detected it, which was almost immediately. There was no intervention needed beyond putting it in automatic mode. It sucked up all the dirt within a few inches of the device, so it doesn’t have to be directly under the vacuum. Just get it close. Size wise, it’s a little smaller then a 13-gallon upright trash can. So, it doesn’t take up a ton of space. So far, I am happy.

I got this not realizing that this was mostly a hair vacuum lol My hair stylists had one of these and I always thought with the amount of dog hair on my floors this would be a god send. Well, turns out I still use my regular vacuum more than this, but it has a great suction to it! Anything that comes within a few inches of the front, if the auto is turned on, it will pick it right up including hair, dirt and debris. I have laminate floors in my home and 3 kids so there is always dirt on the floors. This did eliminate the need to bend over more often to use my dustpan but overall, it's probably more suited for a shop or hair salon. It's small and compact, easy to empty. Has both manual and auto settings so it isn't on constantly.

I love this contraption. It has 3 settings, off, auto and manual. I love auto. It recognizes when you get near with the broom and the motor/suction starts up. It is much more powerful than I was expecting. When it is motor is running it is a bit loud. It works great with fine dust, larger items, hair, dog fur, you name it. I have been keeping it my garage right now during the windy spring months. Such an easy way to sweep up and keep the garage nice and tidy. It is also fantastic for grooming dogs, much easier than trying to vacuum/clean up the mess. The bin is larger, so you won't have to worry about empyting it frequently. I have seen this for years at salons, I wish I would have picked one up sooner.

We wanted something to help get everything collected when sweeping the hardwood floors. In particular, it's very difficult to sweep up the dust around the litterbox. This automatic vacuum dustpan works pretty well. It is larger than I thought it would be at approximately 21" tall, 12" wide and 7.5" deep. The vacuum has a selector knob on the top that allows you to choose between off, manual and automatic. The automatic feature seems to be pretty tricky in that unless I get the broom or debris immediately in front of the opening in the bottom, it doesn't turn on. I almost feel like it is easier to press the button on the lower front with my shoe that turns it on for about 5 seconds. This does work to suck up everything within a couple inches of the front bottom of the unit. There are two filters (see photos.)

Due to the size of this device, it's not for everyone. It's not the best thing to lug around to different rooms for cleaning. Best use is if you have a large room where it can sit in a corner as more of a permanent fixture. It does work very well though. Has good suction and both the manual and automatic features work as advertised. It is also great for people that may not be able to use a standard dustpan due to pain or limited mobility.

I absolutely love this thing. Setting it up was a breeze, It sits in the corner of kitchen and doesn't take up much space at all, it works extremely well, it's very easy to empty, and it holds quite a bit, the automatic setting works really well. I have 2 dogs that both shed a lot as well as men who frequently forget to take their work boots off in the house(despite my best efforts *eye roll*) and it really does suck everything up really well. While this is not something the average person needs for their household, but if you have mobility issues like me it's really made sweeping my floors up so much easier and I don't think I'll ever go back a flimsy dust pan.
