I bought these to hold my canopy up for my boat. It’s absolutely wonderful to be able to twist these babies in instead of using a wrench.

I needed a more substantial handle to exert the torque to lock an awning support rod. The finger knob is too small unless you only need a small clamp force. They may be fine for something like a camera tripod.

My RV awning came with screws with disk shaped knobs. I was having a hard time getting a good enough grip on them to tighten them sufficiently to hold the awning in position These are much better as I can get a sufficient grip to lock the arms in the position I want them. I did make a mistake of ordering them a little too long. I should have ordered 3/4 inch. However, a little work with a Dremel tool adjusted the length. They appear to be holding up well.

Quality build. I wonder why it is USA made.

They work just fine on our boat, but with some things to know. These can be just a tad bit too long on a couple spots, but rubber washers can be used to take up the slack. A rubber washer also helps prevent the screw from backing out from vibration as well, kind of like a lock washer. With the Wing Knob, they are significantly easier to tighten by hand than the ones that came with the boat.
