These bellows and shutters are designed for the following MerCruiser applications:
- 1996-1999 V6 owners「Note: These will not work on V6 engines that came with the one piece manifolds (Use 807166A2 it has a flat tip), or early V8 with the round pin going through flapper.」
- Used on many MerCruiser sterndrive V8 engines. (Some V6 that came with the two piece manifold/elbow)
- For 1998 and newer engines, there are some 1996 and 1997 models that apply. There will be two rectangular holes for the grommets. If your Y-pipe has round holes you need the A3 water shutters. If your Y-pipe changes size a few inches bellow the shutter you have a one piece manifold V6 Y-pipe and need shutter A2.

MerCruiser V8 & V6 years 1987-up - This fits from the Elbow after the riser to the Y pipe. Notice the slight bend in the picture. Works for either side.

Fit a 7.4 mpi but the clamps are too short. The original ones are 127mm the ones they send are 117mm and it's too short. Next the upper and lower boots are 1/8 shorter than the originals. The flappers look good but hinge rubber is thinner than OEM. Over all I cut the old boots off and installed the flapper and boots, reusedthe clamps. I will check on these next yeah and most likely replace with a Sierra or Quicksilver part. Save you money and spend a little more for better parts. Last thing you need is leaking boots or a flapper that gets jammed

The rubber boots/hoses fit perfect. The hose clamps are as close to too small as is mechanically possible, without actually being too small. I re-used all the original clamps except one that had issues. The new one that was provided was tough to get started. I had to separate it and wrap it around after getting everything assembled as the hose didn't want to slide on with the clamp pre-mounted. It was a struggle to get the two ends adjoining sufficiently to begin tightening the clamp. I was successful, and so was the swear jar....

Used on a 2001 Mercruiser 7.4 MPI inboard engine to connect elbows to exhaust. Old ones were hardened and cracking.

Finally a part that fit as it should, no instructions if going back blind but pretty easy to fig out would buy again hope I don’t need to any time soon though!

1) The screw clamps barely went around the Bellows . It would have been great if the clamps were ! inch longer. 2) the flappers did not fit my pipes. Mine original flappers were smaller and metal with a round pin.
