When installing these crash bars they we buy up against the fill cap before it was even close to being able to screw in the bolt it would have required 1.5” spacers to make this fit the bike properly DO NOT BUY for Nighster 2023

The directions offer no photos for installation. There is one page of step by step sentences that list parts to remove. The chin spoiler is optional and was something I had to look up to see if it was on the bike. The logical place to mount is behind the forks in the front- the two holes on the black frame where these could mount are on the bottom. I took photos because the holes of the bar are too wide to line up with the holes of the bike frame without a separate mounting bracket. The illustration shows this mounting the other direction. OK. Not sure why it mentioned to remove the chin spoiler to expose the front frame holes if it mounts upside down, but ok, I'll try. In this position, both ends of the bar holes are nowhere near anything they could mount to. They sit about two inches away outward from any part of the frame on the bottom. I'm going to say they don't fit a sportster xl. Hope these photos help someone else compare their bike to the crash bar.

Does not fit Harley Davidson Nightster RH975 2023. Coolant fill/ Radiator in the way.

This is a set of Highway Freeway Bar for Harley Davidson. After installation, I felt much safer while riding on highway. What I like about it:1. The Crash Bar Engine Guard Highway Bar material is a 1-1/4″ steel tube that is thicker than most sellers. All screws are 304 stainless steel.2. With a Surface Treatment- Matte Black powder sprayed surface treatment coating is of good quality, has high adhesion strength, and corrosion resistance, not easy to rust.3. It is designed a horn sharp looking that is more comfortable for short or long trips.

These crash bars DO fit a 2023 Nightster... with some modifications. The bars will press against the fill cap, but the seller exhibited excellent customer service and reached out to me beforehand and suggested I may need some washer extensions, which I did. Upon requesting the washers, the seller was more than cooperative and sent me them right away. After installing, the issue was resolved.On a side note, you will have to modify your chin skirts, if applicable. Mine had them, but super easy fix with a band saw. Took 5mins.Overall, a very needed addition for protection, and they look dope in my opinion. High quality, functional bars that make my 2023 Nightster that much safer, and tougher. Only critique would be to just include the washers already as optional. Save you time and additional shipping. Great product overall!

Take to a professional when installing . No directions included . Looks good but highly recommended a professional to install .
