I was unsure at first how well this will work, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised.It was extremely easy to set up. And easy to use.It sits on any flat surface, I loved the feature that it can be self-leveling or manual.And that it comes with a mount attachment.A tripod is definitely a great addition, but I haven’t had the chance to try it with that.Over all it was a great buy.

Works great, no issues with the unit itself. I used it on a mobile home skirting job to set the ground track in line with the top rail. It worked great. Looking forward to the next job.It took a couple tumbles off the base I was using. I just shut it off and and switched it back on. No problem, still works.Only dislike is, beam is hard to see in direct sun. As long as target can be shaded from sunlight, it's fine. Batteries life is pretty good, 2 batteries lasted a full day.

Haven’t used it for my projects yet but did turn it on it seems good for use. However I did check to see if my pictures on the wall were leveled and they were.

I bought this for my husband and he absolutely loves it and it works great except for there is something metal blocking a small portion of one of the beams... so I'm gonna have to send it back. If not for this small issue it would be great. Beams are very bright even in a well lit room. Hoping to get it replaced quickly.**Update**Received a new one within a few days with no hassle and this one is perfect!

The sliding activation window is cool and a good idea to protect and lock the float, but means there is a problem: it can't be used in locked mode. That means that if you tilt it, there is 3 degrees of variance. And you can't clamp the device to something because it is round on all sides.The optics are the same as the Amazon Basics version.
