Direct fit. Works well and replaced the old one that had destroyed the gear and was turning slowly. Make sure to check your bendix tooth count as I did.

The starter fit correctly for my 14hp Briggs and Stratton Vanguard engine. It's quite and seems to be built well. It worked the first time with no issues. So far I have no complaints with my purchase. My first impression...Bdeli makes a good quality product for the price.

Purchased on May 30th. Installed a few days later. Probably had 20 or less starts on it. The top gear is already stripped.It’s a plastic much weaker than the OEM one. I remember noticing it when I installed it. But I opted to save $30 and have overnight shipping instead of being inconvenienced to going to the store. The old adage of you get what you pay for is true in this case.
