I read the reviews saying in makes noise. Mine works perfectly, no noise. And heats great. It takes a while to get upto temperature. After you get it seasoned, it is almost non stick. It can stay on at temperature for a long time.

I like everything about the grill but somehow the temperature knob cracked and I need another knob but I don't see any instructions on how to get another one.

Update: Griddle broke after 4 months. No warning or signs of wear and tear, just wouldn't turn on one day.Original review: I like the griddle but upon 1st using it after carefully following all of the manufacturers instructions I noticed it smoking. I examined the internals of the griddle and noticed soyeah noticed some vaguely cotton candy lis otten candy like fuzzy material possibly insulation of some kind or maybe fiberglass that I removed from the inside and the smoking stopped. Has been great since then.

I had been wanting a Blackstone griddle for a while but don’t have an ideal place to cook outside. It’s always too hot, too cold, or raining and I don’t have a well ventilated place to cook inside.I was a little apprehensive about spending this much on a kitchen appliance but I have no regrets about this! It’s even almost as much fun to clean as it is to cook on.I think I made about 10 pounds of burgers in the first two weeks of owning it. It’s even big enough to make flapper burgers on, a one pound burger smashed to 4 times the size of a regular patty and folded with three slices of cheese. I’m in burger heaven! To address some of the things I’ve seen in other reviews, there is a loud hum but that’s only while it is warming up, it stops once it reaches the set temperature. The sides of every electric griddle are colder than the middle, that’s where the coils are. It is shipped covered in oil to prevent rust and must be cleaned and seasoned before your first use.If used properly it’s an awesome addition to any kitchen. My only regret is not buying a larger one but I have a small kitchen and a small family. So far this has been adequate for everything I’ve made on it.

I have only had this thing for a day now but we've already cooked breakfast. also, about 5lbs of cheesesteak for lunch on it.- Heats up quick- Temperature control is relatively accurate in the middle of the cook surface- Holds temp very well while cooking- Perfect size for 1 or 2 people limited on spaceFew things to note:1: make sure you clean off the oil from the factory with soap and water then wipe dry.2: before cooking you need to turn it on to about 200c for about 30 mins or so. It will let off a little smoke. It's just burning off any residual oils from the factory. Once it's done smoking, wipe surface down again and apply a thin layer of your preferred oil. The surface must be kept seasoned / thin layer of oil to prevent rust.3: cooking surface is not evenly heated. Most of the heat in concentrated in the center while the edges are cool spots to keep food or bread warm while you finish cooking. This is described in the products information section so I knew about this prior to buying and honestly prefer it that way on a single burner style griddle. Will update if anything comes up.

I ordered this for my husband and he was delighted! The only problem is that it came bent on the front right where the temperature control is.

This gets uniformly hot in the entire center section. On the edges to about 1.5 inches in, the sides are not as hot.. That's ok. Main area gets hot enough to cook bacon quickly or to make Steak n' Shake style thin, crispy edge burgers. You need to turn it way down and give it a minute to do eggs and pancakes or they get overdone. If you remember to do that you will love it. Once seasoned, you can put water on the hot grill to clean. After cleaning, I wipe down with some grill and pan oil to keep seasoned. The grease drawer is easy to empty.
